Overview of Paint and Sip Supplies
Must have supplies for a paint and sip event:
- Acrylic Paints – we will tell you exactly how much you need below
- Canvas, Canvas Panels, Wood – something to paint on – one per painter
- Brushes – 2-4 per person – a range of sizes
Supplies for Setting Up The Space
- A table and chair setting for each person
- A plastic table cloth ( from the Dollar store ) to cover each table

- A papertowel ( or 2 ) for each painter
That’s it! Now you are probably thinking, it can’t be that easy. What else do I need?
Easels are an optional item. About 50% of people may stand vs. sit. That being said, many may want to lay their canvas flat on the table. You could absolutely get easels if you wish – we do sell them within our packages.
The Sip – a very important item for many. Some painters BYOB, which gives them the choice of beer, wine, cider, soda, selzer – maybe even a White Claw. If you are hosting an event, you could absolutely provide a selection of beverages, based on the regulations of your building. Here are some helpful tips on BYOB if you want to learn more.
How long does it take to setup a Paint and Sip event?
The setup time doesn’t take very long. It all depends on the amount of people coming. If you have have 10 people coming, you don’t have many paint supplies to put out and setup. Compared to a group of 100, it takes a while to setup the room, pour the paints and get the paint supplies ready for use.
We have led groups well over 100 and are here to help with – what to expect for materials and setup.
Groups - Under 10 People - Plan on 30-45 minutes
Groups - 10-20 people - Plan on 45 minutes
Groups - 20-40 people - Plan on 60 minutes
If you have more than 40 people, I would give yourself a little extra time. You will likely have tables, chairs and technology to setup for the presentation. This doesn’t matter if the teacher is virtual or in person.
