If you are looking for the best team experience, we suggest investing in a private instructor led party.  Here is why, with a little storytelling. 

Storyline “A”  – Dan scheduled a team building paint class for his team and hired Meagan to teach.  Meagan mailed paint supplies to each participant, as some were in the office and some where at home.  Dan had to collect the names and addresses and provide those in advance.  The day of the event, Dan logs online along with the 25 other people.  Meagan greets Dan and welcomes the team members as they join the event. 

Meagan provides a welcome introduction, breaks the ice, creates a bit of laughter and we are off.  She is painting with the class, guiding them step by step.  Along the way, she is engaging each team member and popping in ice breakers, where needed.  

The important role of our private instructor in this setting is key – for a few reasons: 

• Keeping everyone on track
• Setting a positive tone
• Guiding the class through the instruction
• Building and maintaining confidence for the team members

Storyline “B” – Self Led Paint Kits – Dan is on a limited budgets and decided to buy the diy paint supplies & kits.  Each participant is mailed a paint kit for $25 + shipping for each person.  He sends out an invite for the upcoming painting event.  Dan is the primary host and leading the class, because a private instructor is not included in this package.  

It is the day of the event, Dan and his team log in to the Zoom and everyone is ready to paint.  Dan should have picked out an inspiration before the event – otherwise he will have to decide it quickly with the team.  Here is the fun party – what happens next is different for every team – this is what we have seen: 

The team starts to paint a single object, which is part of the painting.  Some people are more fast and others are slow.  Dan has to moderate the time to ensure everyone has finished that step and decide when to move on the next.   We all know there are differently personality types out there – Dan may be easy going and be playful with the experience.  Others may be cringing right now – or perhaps sweating – on how do we get through this entire painting in 90 minutes.  That could be the stressful part of the self-led paint kits.   

This is where we can help you make the right decision.  Understanding both of these story points and familiarizing your self with either outcome, let’s decide which is best. 

If you are confident you can manage a group of people, walking them through each step, keeping them on track to finish the painting with 90 minutes – you go for self led kits.  It is really about managing the group’s experience and the timeline!  You don’t want 90 minutes to pass and the art painting isn’t completed.
